AMBYESE announces new dean of students

June 12, 2019

To Whom it may Concern:

AMBYESE’s long-term Borad of Directors Member Crystal March-Brinkley, M.D. succeeds Dr. Beena Ramachandran as the Dean of the Y.E.S., I Can Institution ...

After being with the program for 17 years and doing a spectacular job, Dr. Beena Ramachandran has decided to retire from AMBYESE’s renowned College-Prep Program, Youth Endeavoring to Succeed, (Y.E.S.) I Can. She will devote more time to her full-time teaching position at Greenwich High School and increased responsibilities of being an adjunct professor at UConn-Stamford.

We are very proud and honored to have had Dr. Ramachandran’s service as mathematics and Science program instructor and the Dean of the Y.E.S., I Can Institution.

On behalf of the AMBYESE Board of Directors and extended AMBYESE family, I wish Dr. Ramachandran and her wonderful family all the best that life has to offer.

AMBYESE names Dr. Ramachandran’s Successor:

Dr. Crystal March Brinkley was initially introduced to AMBYESE as a 12 year-old, when she accompanied her mom, who at the time was representing Pratt & Whitney as an engineering role model at AMBYESE’s Annual Youth Educational Conference. Crystal and her mom continued their active participation yearly throughout Crystal’s secondary education. Her experiences at the yearly conferences were inspiring and life-changing, including meeting the renowned motivational speaker Les Brown who inspired a lot of her future public speaking. After graduating from high school in Simsbury, CT, Crystal became a member of the AMBYESE Alumni Association followed by the Board of Directors while she started matriculating towards her undergraduate degree at a Northwestern University. She then went on to obtain her M.D. degree at the Mayo Clinic. After studying public health at the University of Pittsburgh and publishing psychiatry research, Dr. Brinkley began refocusing her career on community mental health and other holistic health and wellness ventures.  She currently resides in Austin, TX with her husband Greg and daughter Amayah.

On behalf of our extended AMBYESE family, we are  overwhelming  excited and honored to have Crystal aboard as the new Dean of the Y.E.S., I Can Institution.

Sincerely,
